How to map species observations in a region of interest
- Zoom in to your area of interest with
. - Switch to ROI tab.
- Select 'Define a n-shaped polygon ROI' icon.
- Draw a polygon on the map by clicking the vertices with the last vertex determined by [Enter] key.
- Go to [Add]-[ Query].
- 'Observation Query & Summary' window pops up.
- In the window, make sure 'Use the polygon drawn on the map' is chosen under 'Spatial interst'.
- Enter the species name in question into 'Species' box.
- Check 'Species' on for 'Results aggregated by'.
- Hit 'Search' button.
- Wait for a while (maybe a minute or two) for the results to show up.
Make the region of interest as small as possible to reduce the calculation time. - Once the results come out, click 'Map Online'.

- The observation points for the specified species in the defined region are mapped.
