Species Observation Map
The species observation map is a map representing the observations from the OBIS-SEAMAP holding with the global distribution map originated from Sea Around Us Project in a transparent red. A larger map image is found at the middle of the page or you can click 'Enlarge' to see an enlarged image in a new browser window.
Clicking on the map image takes you to the Online Mapper where the observations of the species are mapped.
Species Illustration
A scientific illustration or a picture of the species. The illustration or picture is generally copyrighted. Please contact us if you would like to use it.
Taxonomic Information
Taxonomic information is obtained (and regularly updated) from Integrated Taxonomic Information System (ITIS).
