Geodatabase Utilities

The geodatabase contains simple but useful tools that import the shapefiles downloaded from OBIS-SEAMAP into the geodatabase, converting field types and names so they are more usuful and descriptive. Includes two Python scripts. Instruction available at

SEAMAP Button for Google Toolbar ver. 1

Add SEAMAP Goolge Toolbar button and get convenient access and search to OBIS-SEAMAP. To install the button to Google Toolbar, simply click the title. The button provides the following features. 1) Clicking the button takes you to the OBIS-SEAMAP front page. 2) Dropdown menu includes a direct link to the SEAMAP Online Mapper. 3) Dropdown menu also shows you the latest three pieces of news (What's New). 4) Enter species name in Google Search Box and choose "OBIS-SEAMAP" from search options to search the species in OBIS-SEAMAP's Species page. Requirement: Internet Explorer or FireFox having Google Toolbar installed. News items are updated every three hours.
