Albatross Project, The
Kids from all over are joining with scientists to track ocean-going albatrosses in Hawaii !!! We are using sensitive satellites in space, miniature transmitters on birds, and rapid email communications to investigate the travels of these animals on the open ocean. See what we're doing by checking out this Web Site. Kids and Teachers, Join the Project yourself and use satellites for your own scientific work.
Bridge - Ocean Sciences Education Teacher Resource Center
The Bridge is a growing collection of the best marine education resources available on-line. It provides educators with a convenient source of accurate and useful information on global, national, and regional marine science topics, and gives researchers a contact point for educational outreach.
Cetaceanhabitat.org
cetaceanhabitat.org. Sponsored by WDCS, this site is dedicated to the conservation of the critical habitats of whales, dolphins and porpoises in national waters and on the high seas of the world ocean. You will find explanations of key marine protected area (MPA) terms such as critical habitat and ecosystem-based management; excerpts from Erich Hoyt’s book Marine Protected Areas for Whales, Dolphins and Porpoises; an interactive directory and poster-map of the more than 500 MPAs and sanctuaries for cetaceans, both proposed and existing; news about MPAs and interviews with cetacean experts, and a detailed resource section with links and downloads.
Field Trip Earth
